Jihad’s Aunt & her 8 children
Kholoud (mother of 8)
Kholoud is a widowed mother of eight living in a tent.
Two years ago, their home was bombed. Her husband was Martyred— and his body is still buried under the rubble. She has never been able to bury him. She has never been able to grieve. Survival took over.
Since that day, she has been trying to keep her eight children alive with no income, no stable shelter, and almost no support.
They are cold. They are hungry. They are scared all the time.
Her nephew Jihad — who many of you already know — asked us to urgently start this campaign because his aunt’s situation has become unbearable.
Kholoud writes:
“My children are dying before my eyes. They go to the bathroom in the dark, hungry. I am a mother. My heart cannot bear this. Please help us.”
Her youngest child is just three years old — malnourished and sick. The children are going to sleep hungry. There is no electricity. No light. Not enough blankets. The sound of planes and tanks still sends them into panic after two years of bombing and displacement. They do not feel safe anywhere.
Kholoud herself has an injured foot. One of her sons has a stomach wound that needs treatment. Without money, she cannot buy food, medicine, or even basic hygiene supplies.
To feed this family for one day costs at least $60.
That means about $1,800 per month just for food.
At minimum, this family needs $1,000 per month to survive — to buy whatever food they can find, basic medicine, firewood to cook, diapers and hygiene supplies. That means skipping meals, which they are currently doing.
Right now, they are receiving almost no donations.
This fundraiser is not about rebuilding their lives. It is about keeping nine people alive.
If one person — or a small group of people — can commit to helping cover even one month, it would immediately stabilize this family.
Please donate if you can.
If you cannot, please share this until it reaches someone who can.
Sometimes survival comes down to whether the right person sees this story in time.
Amira & Family
Amira (28)
"I am Amira, 28 years old, a mother of two young children whose only sin is that they were born into this life amidst so much pain. My daughter, Mira, is four years old, dreams of a small toy and a loss of security. My son, Waseem, is only two months old. I hold him in my arms and try to hide the cruelty of life from him.
My husband is injured and unable to work, and I have no choice but to pray and ask for help from compassionate people.
My house is overflowing with needs, and my children are in dire need of what they need to survive. I appeal to everyone with the ability to extend a helping hand. Even a little help can mean a lot; it might feed a child or warm a shivering little body.
Help me for Mira and Waseem. Help me see their smiles again."
