GIVING FAQS

  • There are several ways to support families through Give to Gaza.

First, you can donate directly to individual family campaigns by clicking the link in the menu bar at the top of the site. These links take you straight to the family’s GoFundMe or Chuffed page.

Second, you can give through a monthly donation here or by purchasing a T-shirt. These funds are received by an organizer and then distributed to a family with the most urgent needs that month.

Third, you can support by purchasing artwork from the web store. All proceeds from artwork sales are sent directly to Taleen and Kareem’s family.

  • That depends.

Short term, the most effective way to give is through consistent support—weekly or monthly donations to one or two families—and encouraging others to do the same. Ongoing care allows families to rely on steady access to food and basic necessities as conditions remain unstable. The more consistently we support more families, the more people are able to survive under siege.

Long term, the most effective way to give is through a large financial donation - direct to their campaign. And connecting them to your friends around the world for support. Leaving Gaza through the Rafah crossing carries an overwhelming financial burden. For families without foreign passports, evacuation often requires coordination fees that can reach several thousand dollars per person. For a single adult, this can mean $5,000 or more just to exit. For a family of four, costs can quickly reach $15,000–$20,000, and for a family of eight, $30,000 or more—before accounting for travel, housing, food, medical care, and legal uncertainty after leaving. Evacuation is not the end of the crisis; it is the beginning of life as a refugee, where income is unstable and basic needs must be met month after month. We are raising funds so families are not forced to leave with nothing, but instead have enough support to evacuate safely and begin rebuilding their lives with dignity.

Families in Gaza cannot apply directly for evacuation or refugee status, and there is no formal process to nominate them. With borders closed and official pathways unavailable, most families rely on one-to-one support to meet immediate needs and, when possible, cover the high costs of leaving. This direct support is often the only option available right now.

  • All net proceeds from the store are donated directly to families through their individual campaign links on platforms like GoFundMe or Chuffed. We do not retain store funds beyond covering basic fulfillment costs, and our role is to ensure support reaches families facing the most urgent needs.
