Anwar, Aylan & Family
Anwar (mother of 3)
Anwar is a mother of three — Jourie (7), Sidra (5), and Aylan (10 months). Her husband was injured and is now permanently disabled. Their home was destroyed by the occupation, forcing them to live in a makeshift tent that offers little protection from the cold, rain, and heat. Aylan, their 10 month old has a serious Bacterial infection in her eye (pictured left) and is in need of medical care. With weakened immune systems from hunger, medical conditions like Aylan’s become dangerous quickly — infections that should be easily treatable turn life-threatening without access to medicine, clean water, or care.
Like so many families in Gaza, they’ve lost everything — except their will to survive. With the economy erased and every safety net intentionally dismantled, they rely on direct support to meet the most basic needs: food, clothing, and medicine.
When you give to Anwar’s family, you’re not donating out of charity — you’re standing in solidarity. You’re helping them stay alive, stay warm, and most importantly - get access to the medical care and sustenance they deserve.
Anwar says “Every morning I hear my little Sedra crying… She wants to go back to kindergarten, but we can’t afford it anymore It breaks my heart to see her dreams fade because of poverty and war. Jouri dreams of becoming a doctor Little Alyan shivers from the cold, crys from pain, with no warm clothes, milk, or clean diapers. My three children are hungry, sick, and losing their chance to learn. Please, my sisters and brothers, help me feed.”
Amira & Family
Amira (28)
"I am Amira, 28 years old, a mother of two young children whose only sin is that they were born into this life amidst so much pain. My daughter, Mira, is four years old, dreams of a small toy and a loss of security. My son, Waseem, is only two months old. I hold him in my arms and try to hide the cruelty of life from him.
My husband is injured and unable to work, and I have no choice but to pray and ask for help from compassionate people.
My house is overflowing with needs, and my children are in dire need of what they need to survive. I appeal to everyone with the ability to extend a helping hand. Even a little help can mean a lot; it might feed a child or warm a shivering little body.
Help me for Mira and Waseem. Help me see their smiles again."
